On Oct. 17, 2017, Mayor Megan Barry announced the proposal for a comprehensive, $5.2 billion mass transit investment plan for the region, called “Let’s Move Nashville.” This plan includes existing bus service improvements, rapid bus service, light rail, a downtown tunnel and neighborhood transit stops, and will be funded by a range of fees.
